About the CSA
-We are full for the 2022 Season
Thank you!-

Share Options

Our main CSA season runs for 18 weeks from June-October. We have a self-serve, market style CSA pick up on the farm on Saturdays where you can select what you want from a variety of options. We also deliver pre-packed CSA shares to two locations in Missoula. We offer both Full and Small share sizes.

Local shareholders who pick up on the farm get to choose the contents of their share from about 10-20 different crops each week. Missoula shareholders will receive approximately 5-7 (Small Shares) or 8-10 (Full Shares) different items each week that we pre-select.

....and the Full Share equivalents

We also offer a super special share at our Saturday on-farm pick up, called a Floating Share. Shareholders who choose this option select a Full share at pick up, but come 9 weeks of their choosing (no advance notice necessary!).

So how does this self-select thing work?

A fine question. Compared to a traditional CSA model, the self-select pick up at the farm allows you a bit more flexibility. When you arrive at pick up we will have a variety of vegetables displayed on the center table of our warehouse. There will be written instructions on how many items you may take that week and which items you can double up on. Typically you will be allowed to take anywhere between 5-10 items (depending on share size and season) from a selection of 10-20 items.

Share Contents

Easily one of the most common questions we are asked is, what will be in my CSA share every week? Well, it depends! We grow over 50 different kinds of crops. Expect the contents of your CSA share to vary with the season. Every week will be different, but we try to consistently offer aromatics (like herbs and onions), leafy greens, and more "substantial" crops like tomatoes, potatoes, or broccoli each week. Fruit is offered occasionally in the shares, and will also be offered as an additional item to purchase in the Farm Store.

Below is a list of some of the different crops that we grow, and when to expect to find them during the season.
